Free stock photos site.
Searching for stock photos? The Internet of today is jam-packed with beautiful images, but sometimes they cost a lot. There are services, however, where photographers from all corners of the world readily share photos absolutely free of charge – or almost free of charge, say, for “a cup of coffee”.
While digging through the World Wide Web, I once turned up a site of stock photos called Pixabay.
Pixabay is an online repository of high-quality photos dedicated by their authors into public domain. It is a virtual place where you can find free clipart, vector graphics and pictures.
Each person, who wishes so, may use any of the images from Pixabay in print or digital form even for commercial purposes without reference to the author. I, for instance, used photos from Pixabay to demonstrate how one of Lightroom presets works.
All materials posted at Pixabay are covered by some of the Creative Commons licenses with author’s credit or as public. Creative Commons give authors an opportunity to share their works and to choose how these works may be used. Some authors ask for a backlink, others let people modify materials and use them for commercial purposes.
